Requests for transfer to Europe come mainly from specialists in the field of burns and traumatology.
The medical report is in English (preferred but not guaranteed), Russian or Ukrainian, telephone contact is directly to the attending physician.
Eligible means that treatment in Europe leads either to life-saving (but if the patient is in a transportable condition) or to a significant increase in quality of life due to treatment procedures not available at the place of his current treatment.
The Medical record is distributed via the WA application to all physicians who have joined the project. If the hospital is interested in treatment, it is immediately provided with a telephone number to the attending physician.
Notes:
It is important to emphasize that if the hospital is interested in treating the patient, it must arrange a transfer (usually airlift) from Poland or Slovakia, where the patient will be transported. If funding or other forms of transfer were available, this information would be part of the call.
Notes:
The ICU ambulance meets the highest standards (it was a donation from the Czech Red Cross and the year of manufacture of the vehicle is 2022) - more detailed information about the equipment is HERE. The crew of the vehicle consists of the driver or paramedic and especially the anesthesiologist. The crew is provided by the Ukrainian Red Cross, which keeps the vehicle and crew in stand-by mode.
